A short, scannable how-to for booking time off from where you already work.
In the Vacation Flow web app
- Go to vacationflow.app → your dashboard.
- Click + New request (top right).
- Fill in your dates (start and end), the type (Vacation, Sick, Remote work, Medical, or any custom leave type your workspace has configured), and an optional note for your manager.
- Click Submit.
Your manager gets a notification and can approve in one click.
What happens after you submit
- Your manager gets an email notification.
- They click Approve or Deny (in the email or the web app).
- You get a confirmation.
- If approved, the request appears on the in-app team calendar, and syncs to Google Calendar if you've connected it.
Partial-day requests
Where your workspace allows it, you can request part of a day rather than a full day — pick the partial-day option in the request form.
Canceling or changing a request
- Before it’s approved: Dashboard → Your requests → click the request → Cancel or Edit.
- After it’s approved: same steps — your manager gets a notification of the change.

Common issues
I don't see a manager to approve
A teammate hasn’t been set as your manager yet. Ask your admin to set it in Settings → Team.
Request stuck in pending for days
Ping your manager directly, or escalate via Dashboard → request row → Nudge manager.
