Where Day Off is strong
Day Off’s free iOS and Android apps are the product. Requesting a day off takes seconds from a phone, the interface is clean, and there is nothing to learn. The free plan covers up to 10 users with calendar view, custom leave types, and one-step approvals, and the Pro plan is affordable at $2 per seat per month (with a $20 monthly minimum). For a small team that mostly works from phones, that is a genuinely good deal.
Where VacationFlow is different
Our free plan goes to 20 members instead of 10, and it is not a basic tier — you get multi-step approval chains, custom vacation policies and leave categories, work modes, blockout periods, shift templates and rotations, per-office holidays for 100+ countries, Google Calendar sync, an org chart, and CSV/Excel/PDF reports. Day Off keeps several of those behind Pro or does not offer them at all. Where Day Off clearly beats us: they have the mobile apps today and ours are still coming.
